With this simple word counter you can easily calculate the amount of words, characters, sentences and paragraphs in your text.

The counter estimates how long it would take to read your text (based on an average reading speed of 275 words per minute) and how long it would take to read it out loud (based on an average speaking speed of 180 words per minute). This is perfect for preparing speeches, presentations, essays and blog posts.
The reading level shows which school grade a reader would need in order to easily understand your text, based on the Flesch-Kincaid readability formula. Shorter sentences and simpler words lower the grade and make your text easier to read.
As you type, the counter checks your text for common mistakes such as repeated words, double spaces, spaces before punctuation, missing capitalization and overly long sentences, so you can polish your writing before publishing it.
